For this assignment we had to create an informational poster about our semester long junior project. We had to include our driving question, mentors, plan, and why it was important to us and then present this poster to the class.
This project addressed the 21st century communication skills. This is because we had to communicate what our project’s purpose was on an infographic as well as to our peers when we presented.
I am proud of how my poster ended up looking and how smooth our presentation was. I am glad we got to plan what we wanted our project to look like before we put it in motion.
Normally we present information on something our teacher tells us to research but since this project is so specific to each and every one of us we had to present something we were interested in and how we wanted to benefit the community. We had to answer questions about the integrity of our project and that made us more confident with communicating our ideas.
This project was difficult because we had to pick the project we wanted to take on. We had to determine whether or not it was rigorous enough to be successful and doable. The poster creating itself was relatively easy.
If I were to improve this project I would've put way more time, energy, and effort into the process of our project in the beginning of the quarter rather than starting during the middle of our quarter.
In the future I will be more comfortable presenting my own ideas to other people/places where I would have a leadership role. This helps with not only my creativity in creating an informational presentation but also my presentation skills.
