For the first project of my Spanish 2 class we were to make posters of different Spanish speaking countries to put on the walls of our classroom to bring together the learning of Spanish. My group and I chose to make our poster about Nicaragua and talk about the History, culture, food, and geography. By doing this project the 21st century skill I feel I used the most was global awareness. From researching a country my group and I didn't know much about that turned out to be much different from ours we were able to clearly see how a lot of these other countries vary so differently in their everyday lives. With this assignment I was most proud of the outcome of the project and everyone's class participation. Before getting through this project it was a little rocky with my group in the beginning to get started and figure out what ideas we had in our head that we could all agree on. While our project ended up looking really good I think in the future I would think deeper on who does which part of the project for quality work because I ended up having to fix the whole poster that was made by someone else the day before we had to present. besides that I think everything else came out good. Our global awareness 21st century skill was further developed while covering a variety of topics in depth about our Spanish speaking country Nicaragua.
